Generally, orders for pickups in standard colors leave our factory within three days of order submission (and often faster than that). Items in non-standard colors or configurations may take up to five business days to leave our factory depending on production demand. As of 2020-2021, lead times may be further extended due to COVID-19.
Orders are fulfilled on a first come, first serve basis, and larger orders may require additional lead times. Please contact us for further information on turnaround times if you require an item within a specific time frame.
DiMarzioĀ® ClipLockĀ® Quick Release strap system is the most secure and unique fastening method available. The cornerstone of the ClipLockĀ® strap is the heavy-duty acetal clip that allows you to change it easily from guitar to guitar with a little fingertip pressure, yet has enough holding power to meet military specifications.The ClipLockĀ® fastens permanently between your guitar body and strap buttons with two sturdy brass bushings and extra-long screws (included). DiMarzioĀ® ClipLockĀ® straps adjust in length from 43 to 63 inches (110-160 cm), measured between the strap buttons.
If your DiMarzioĀ® single coil-size pickup has a replaceable plastic cover, you can order a replacement cover in the color you want by contacting our sales department. However, in all other cases, "right model, wrong color" does not qualify for a free exchange, which is intended only for performance issues. Our full warranty and exchange policy can be found here.
In our current production, there is no difference whatsoever, but we include a 500K push-pull pot with the Dual SoundĀ®. Our original Super DistortionĀ® had 1 conductor plus shield. We introduced the Dual SoundĀ® with three conductors plus shield to allow more wiring options. As guitar manufacturers and players became more sophisticated, the market demanded four conductors plus shield on all humbuckers, so both models now have four conductors, as do all of our full-size humbuckers.

Most are available to order today, however there are discontinued models that may be special ordered through the DiMarzio Custom Shop.

For most pickup models, you can use standard pickups in a left-handed guitar or bass. For the models where it makes a difference, you can get a special left-handed version at no extra charge. Those models are True Velvetā¢, True Velvet Bridgeā¢, Red Velvetā¢, HS-4ā¢, all Virtual VintageĀ® and Area Strat replacement models, Injectorā¢ neck and bridge, Area Tā¢ neck model.
Full-sized humbuckers with visible coils have a permanent, molded-in color that can not be changed. Most pickups for Strat and Tele replacement have replaceable covers that come in a variety of colors available here. Most other models have non-replaceable covers.
All of our true single-coil pickups are available with reversed polarity and connections at no additional charge.
Yes, but be sure to specify which color goes toward the neck and which goes toward the bridge.

DiMarzioĀ® dealers determine actual retail prices in their own stores, but most dealers offer our suggested retail price. Prices outside the USA are generally higher due to import costs and VAT.
