DiMarzio’s hum-canceling replacement pickups are the gold standard for modern Strat® and Tele® players. The Cruiser T™ Neck is a ground-up design combining a neodymium magnet with twin-blade hum-canceling coils. It retains the classic metal cover that Tele® neck pickups are known to have, but that’s where the similarities end.
With an optimized magnetic field, the Cruiser T™ Neck delivers better string-to-string balance, even when notes are bent. The harmonic overtones are right where you'd expect them to be from a "true" single-coil; the midrange is open and vocal-sounding, the top end has chime and clarity without harshness, and the bass strings have more chunk.
Our new design delivers higher output, fast transients, and a lower noise floor than traditional Tele® neck pickups. It is carefully calibrated to ensure that a simple height adjustment will volume match it to your bridge pickup of choice, and utilizes our quick connect PCB baseplates to maintain a low profile.
Chrome and black cover options are available with or without a laser etched DiMarzio logo.

The obvious question about The Cruiser T™ Neck is “How does it compare to a single-coil sound?” Our feeling is that the unwound strings (“E”, “B”, and “G”) are very close, and the wound strings (“D”, “A”, and low “E”) are a little fatter-sounding than a true single-coil. This is effective for getting open-sounding chords, because high and low strings sound more spread out from each other. The reduced magnet pull compared to standard single-coils also means The Cruiser T™ Neck can be adjusted much closer to the strings for more power than stock pickups can achieve.
We recommend using 250K pots and a .022uf capacitor with the Cruiser T™ Neck. If more top end is desired, switching to a 500K pot is recommended.
Ships with springs and screws for installation.
